Brand your Confluence site

Jazz up Confluence with a logo and colours that reflect your company's branding and name. You can also add a welcome message for announcements or key links that everyone should be aware of.

1. Change the site logo and favicon

The site logo appears in the header and is visible throughout Confluence.

  1. From the header, choose the cog icon , then choose General Configuration.

  2. From the sidebar, choose Site Logo and Favicon.
  3. Change the site title and upload a logo.
  4. Select Show Logo Only or Show Logo and Title  depending on whether you wish the Site Title to display in the header, then hit Save.

  5. To change the favicon, click Choose File, add your image, then hit Upload

2. Change the site color scheme

If you add your own logo, Confluence's Auto Look and Feel will detect the colors in the logo and change the site color scheme to match. If you would rather use another color scheme with your custom logo, go to  > General Configuration, and from the sidebar choose Color Scheme Edit. You can type in a hex code for each UI component, then hit Save when you're done.

3. Change the default welcome message

Give your site's landing page some personality by editing the site welcome message. This is the message that appears on the right hand side of the dashboard and is perfect for adding announcements, useful links, or a fun photo from your last office party or team outing.

To edit the site welcome message, either click the Edit link below the site welcome message on the dashboard, or:

  1. Go to  > General Configuration > Global Templates and Blueprints.
  2. Scroll down to the System templates and choose Edit next to Default Welcome Message.
  3. Add your content and choose Save

To go back to the original welcome message, choose Reset to Default next to the Default welcome message template.
